Mercor

Mercor needed a new department for multimodal machine-learning operations to support its frontier work for top AI labs. There was no established methodology, and a client deadline left one weekend to stand it up. Over that weekend I wrote the SOPs, QA frameworks, and production methodology. I then built and led a 20-person team across time zones, with autonomy over production, methodology, and quality standards. I identified and mentored standout contributors into management roles. The first production run beat the throughput and error-rate benchmarks of the company’s longest-established departments. I shared these systems with other departments, and several raised their quality and production expectations.
