Mercor

Mercor needed a new department for multimodal machine-learning operations to support its frontier work for top AI labs. There was no established methodology, and a client deadline left one weekend to stand up the department. Over that weekend I wrote the SOPs, QA frameworks, and production methodology. I then built and led a 20-person team across time zones, with autonomy over production, frameworks and rubrics, and quality standards. I mentored standout contributors into management roles. The first production run beat the throughput and error-rate benchmarks of the company’s longest-established departments. I shared my SOPs and QA frameworks with the other departments in my business unit, where they helped raise quality and production expectations.
